(Women Against Anti-Social Persecution) is the voice for the lesbian,
gay, bi-sexual and trans-gender community (LGBT), their families
and friends . They promote equality and eliminate discrimination
against the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and trans-gender community by
offering support, advancing education and raising awareness of issues
affecting them. They further charitable purposes for the benefit
of the socially and economically disadvantaged LGBT communities
living or working in the borough of Walsall or surrounding area.
We offer you:
One to one support - talking
face to face in complete privacy for a single meeting or over a
longer time period.
Home visits - we will visit you
at home if you prefer.
Health advice - health promotion
covering such health issues as mental health, depression, addiction,
holistic health and fitness. Aiming to create a better environment.
Information and support -our
office in Bloxwich is a hate crime reporting centre with drop in
facility fully supported and kitemarked by West Midlands Police

We work closely with the police and can assist victims who may need
to go to court . We will speak on your behalf in a challenging setting
or support you in, for example, the Children's Family Court on behalf
of lesbian or gay parents, at a tribunal or court. We will represent
your interest when dealing with housing, benefit matters, child
maintenance or most other problems you may be experiencing.
We also campaign for the benefit of the LGBT
community and carry out fund raising.
